SKYBOX SERVICE:

PLATINUM POST, our SMALL PACKAGE DIVISION offers a SKYBOX which can be used as a secure mailing address for packages (both small and large). We aim on bringing you the FASTEST, MOST RELIABLE service possible. With two flights weekly, your packages will reach you in no time! You can take advantage our service to quickly import your goods from the US & across the globe, with the use of THE UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER & a US ADDRESS.

Once you sign up, an email is will be sent to your inbox welcoming you to our PLATINUM LOGISTICS family. This email will include THE UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER, THE HUB ADDRESS IN MEDLEY, FLORIDA & all necessary information you need to import your package(s). 

Upon confirming your order at your favourite online store, you fill in the SHIPPING DETAILS to match the format seen below:-

Once your order has been placed, your package will be on its way. Don’t forget to forward the invoice to [email protected] for Customs processing when it arrives in Trinidad.

When your package arrives at the MEDLEY HUB, you will receive your first EMAIL NOTIFICATION, requesting your invoice (if same hasn’t been received) and updating you on the flight transporting your package(s) to Trinidad.

Upon arrival in Trinidad, you will receive a second EMAIL NOTIFICATION, updating you on your package(s) arrival, PENDING CUSTOMS CLEARANCE.

Once Customs Clearance is completed, your package(s) will be transported to our PORT OF SPAIN OFFICE, to be invoiced & distributed to your liking.

You will receive one last EMAIL NOTIFICATION, with your invoice and confirming DELIVERY / PICKUP options.

ITS THAT EASY!

The ESTIMATED DAY OF ARRIVAL in Trinidad will depend on a couple factors:
– WHEN YOUR PACKAGE IS DELIVERED TO OUR MEDLEY HUB
– IF THE CARGO FOR OUR NEXT FLIGHT HAS BEEN MANIFESTED ALREADY
– IF CUSTOMS CLEARANCE HAS OCCURED & IF IT WAS SUCCESSFUL

We have 2 weekly flights, departing MEDLEY, FLORIDA with your packages. Once your package arrives before the manifest is totaled, your package will make the flight. If not, your package will be manifested for the next flight. 
We usually receive a Customs Clearance appointments within 2-3 days after arrival. Once Clearance is successful and there are no delays, cargo will be delivered and then further dispatched for Delivery, if preferred.

This means you have the opportunity to receive your package(s) by Friday evening once the process works smoothly.

Once your package(s) arrive and the invoice(s) are generated, we will confirm via EMAIL NOTIFICATION if you’d prefer to COLLECT at our PORT OF SPAIN OFFICE or if you’d like FREE DELIVERY TO YOUR LOCATION OF CHOICE!

Consolidation is the process of combining multiple packages into a single/more cost effective package. This saves you money as there will be only ONE LANDING COST tallied. We offer FREE CONSOLIDATION at our MEDLEY HUB, for your benefit.
We highly suggest this option for customers purchasing goods from Amazon as they ship from multiple suppliers. 

YES! We offer “PURCHASING ON YOUR BEHALF“. This is one of our most used services, where customers can request a quotation, for the goods & services rendered. 

Just a couple easy steps and your package(s) will be on their way. 
1. Send us an email to [email protected] with links to the item(s) you desire.
2. We will revert with a quotation, listing the cost of item(s) AND estimated shipping fees. *Your package(s) will be subject to Duties & Taxes upon arrival*
3. You make a payment for the item(s) AND estimated shipping fees, once accepted.
4. We order your desired item(s).
5. We both wait for cargo’s arrival in Trinidad. 
6. Upon collection/delivery, you pay the outstanding cost (Customs Duties & Taxes).

Package Insurance is a safety measure put in place in case your package(s) or item(s) get lost or damaged.
Our insurance is worked based upon the value of the product(s) you’re purchasing. For every US$100.00, your PACKAGE INSURANCE will cost TT$7.00

eg. the total cost of my package is US$524.10, I will have to pay TT$35.00 PACKAGE INSURANCE

PACKAGES:

We ship packages ranging from 0.25 LBS to 100 LBS each.

Aside from the supplier’s tracking information, when your package(s) arrive at the MEDLEY HUB, you will receive your first EMAIL NOTIFICATION, advising you on package arrival and updating you on the flight transporting your package(s) to Trinidad.

Upon arrival in Trinidad, you will receive a second EMAIL NOTIFICATION, updating you on your package(s) whereabouts, PENDING CUSTOMS CLEARANCE.

Once Customs Clearance is completed, you will receive one last EMAIL NOTIFICATION, stating that your package is in our office, together with your invoice and confirming DELIVERY / PICKUP options.

We offer FREE PACKAGE STORAGE for 1 month. After which your package will begin to incur STORAGE FEES, based on the weight/size of your package.

If your package was damaged in transit to you, please forward pictures & descriptions clearly showing said damage to [email protected] and an investigation will be launched.

Every item being imported into Trinidad and Tobago MUST be inspected by Customs Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. 
Some items attract Duties & Taxes, based upon the value of said item. 
According to the Tariff, the Duties payable can range from 5% – 60% of an item, based upon their commodity.
Taxes payable, unless FREE, will be the standard 12.5% of the value of the item.
Additionally, when ordering online and shipping through an E-Courier company, OPT (Online Purchase Tax) will be charged. This is calculated at 10% of the item’s value.

 

This cost, once received from Customs Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is then directly transferred to you, the customer.

There are multiple HAZARDOUS & RESTRICTED ITEMS, which are banned from entering Trinidad and Tobago, via Air.

  • Human remains, including ashes
  • Animals dead or alive (fish, birds, insects and animal skins)
  • Antiques (breakable and/or fragile)
  • Asbestos
  • Bodily fluids and tissues (saliva, blood… etc)
  • Firearms and parts, ammunition, explosives and weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Furs
  • Hazardous or combustible material (as defined in IATA Regulations)
  • Illegal goods
  • Bullion (of any precious metal)
  • Negotiable instruments in Bearer form (this is cash like)
  • Items which could be used as weapons
  • Insects/Larva /Pupae etc
  • Ivory
  • Jewelry, precious metals and stones (diamonds etc)
  • Military equipment and apparel (camouflage)
  • Narcotics (illegal)
  • Dangerous Goods (Aerosols, perfumes, pressurized cans, flammable liquids… etc)
  • Perishable items (Food, plants, etc)
  • Plants/seeds
  • Pornography (videos, DVDs, magazines, adult toys)
  • Currency (cash/money orders/stamps)
  • Honey

Customs Authority of Trinidad and Tobago holds the right to seize ANY and ALL items which fall under the above listing.
